Terms of Use
Conditions governing access to roboshiftlab.life. Last updated 10 July 2026.
1. Agreement
By accessing or using roboshiftlab.life (the "Site"), you agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Site. These Terms supplement any written statement of work or master services agreement governing paid engineering engagements with RoboShift Lab ("we", "us"). Where conflicts arise, signed project contracts prevail over these Terms for service delivery matters.
2. Operator
The Site is operated by RoboShift Lab, BN 615892047 RC0001, with principal place of business at 150 Vernon Drive, Suite 105, Vancouver, BC V6A 3P5, Canada. Contact: [email protected], +1 (604) 336-7150.
3. Permitted use
You may browse the Site for lawful business purposes: learning about our manipulation and automation services, submitting inquiries, and downloading publicly offered materials. You may not scrape the Site at rates that impair operation, attempt unauthorized access, introduce malware, misrepresent affiliation with RoboShift Lab, or use Site content to train competing models without written permission.
4. No professional reliance on website alone
Site content is informational. Engineering, safety and compliance decisions require site-specific assessment documented in formal proposals. Nothing on the Site constitutes a guarantee of cycle time, uptime, regulatory approval, injury prevention or financial return. Case metrics are illustrative historical notes.
5. Intellectual property
Text, graphics, logos, page layout and original photography on the Site are protected by copyright and trademark law. You receive a limited, revocable licence to view and print pages for internal evaluation. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify or publicly display Site content for commercial publication without our consent. Client deliverables are addressed in separate agreements.
6. User submissions
When you submit inquiries through our contact form, you represent that information is accurate to your knowledge and that you have authority to share any third-party or employer data included. You grant us permission to use submissions to respond and administer potential engagements. Do not submit confidential production secrets without a mutual NDA when sensitivity requires it.
7. Third-party links
The Site may link to external resources (standards bodies, suppliers, regulators). We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, availability or privacy practices. Links do not imply endorsement.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SITE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT AND ACCURACY. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that defects will be corrected immediately.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ROBOSHIFT LAB AND ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES AND CONTRACTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING FROM SITE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SITE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR SITE-RELATED CLAIMS SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED CANADIAN DOLLARS (C$100), EXCEPT WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE EXCLUDED BY LAW.
Liability for professional engineering services is governed by executed project contracts, not these Terms.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RoboShift Lab from claims arising out of your misuse of the Site, violation of these Terms, or infringement of third-party rights through content you submit, except to the extent caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
11. Privacy and cookies
Personal information practices are described in our Privacy Policy (PIPEDA and BC PIPA). Cookie use is described in our Cookie Policy. Using the Site constitutes acknowledgment of those policies.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law rules that would apply another jurisdiction. You attorn to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia, sitting in Vancouver, for disputes relating to Site use, subject to mandatory consumer protections that cannot be contracted away.
13. Severability
If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force. The invalid provision will be replaced with a valid term that most closely reflects the original intent.
14. Changes
We may revise these Terms by posting an updated version with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes will be highlighted on this page. Continued use after posting constitutes acceptance unless prohibited by law.
15. Electronic communications
By submitting our contact form or emailing us, you consent to receive transactional responses related to your inquiry. We do not interpret Site browsing alone as consent to unsolicited marketing. You may opt out of non-essential follow-up messages by stating so in your reply. Formal contractual notices under executed project agreements should be delivered to the Vernon Drive address or a signatory email identified in your statement of work.
16. Entire agreement for Site use
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and RoboShift Lab regarding public Site access. No oral statement or informal email modifies these Terms unless confirmed in a signed writing by an authorized representative of RoboShift Lab.
17. Brand and robotics services clarification
The domain roboshiftlab.life uses the .life TLD for branding only — RoboShift Lab is not a lifestyle, wellness or coaching brand. “Robo” refers to applied robotics engineering; “Shift” refers to automating and transforming production work; “Lab” refers to an R&D and prototyping studio, not a scientific wet laboratory. We provide robotics automation and manipulation engineering services — not hobby-robot retail, not weapons or covert-surveillance robotics, and not online courses or income schemes.
Robotic systems integrated through our studio are safety-critical. Deployments require site-specific risk assessment, guarding, testing and ongoing human oversight. We do not guarantee zero downtime, complete safety, guaranteed throughput or fully autonomous operation without qualified supervision. We work only on lawful, non-weapon applications and decline covert-surveillance robotics engagements.
